CLASS FIELD GUIDE · Rage & Stances

Warrior

Turn incoming pressure into Rage, then choose between a decisive strike and a wall of steel.

80 starting HP99 starting gold42 class cards

The class mechanic

Gain Rage through combat violence. Spend Rage on devastating attacks, and shift between Battle, Defensive, and Berserker Stances to unlock tactical card bonuses.

Rage generation, stance changes and deliberate attack sequencing.

Generate 5 Rage whenever you deal or take damage. Heavy strikes and stance abilities spend Rage.

BUILD AROUND A PLAN

Three paths through the spire

Build ideas follow the current card effects and class archetypes. They are editorial starting points, not measured win-rate rankings.

01 / Arms

Arms · expose and execute

Apply Vulnerable, prepare a doubled attack, and finish damaged enemies.

Use Charge or Mortal Strike before your payoff. Sweeping Strikes doubles the next attack, and Execute gains its extra hit below half enemy health.

02 / Fury

Fury · momentum engine

Strength and multi-hit attacks turn a single offensive investment into repeated value.

Establish Strength before Whirlwind. Death Wish doubles existing Strength, so it needs setup; Bloodthirst adds healing while you continue attacking.

03 / Protection

Protection · the patient shield

Retain Block, add more on safe turns, then spend an attack on a Block-scaled strike.

Enter Defensive Stance early. Build Block, double a meaningful pool with Challenging Shout, and use Shield Slam while the pool is still high.

Before your next run

  • Watch the Rage meter before Inner Rage spends the whole pool. Its bonus has a cap, so more Rage is not always more damage.
  • Defensive Stance retains Block between turns. This changes Shield Slam from a small hit into a payoff for earlier defensive turns.
  • Pummel and Shield Bash interrupt casts. Keep an interrupt for a dangerous cast instead of spending it only for damage.

Talent planning

Arms supports heavy attacks, Fury supports repeated offense, and Protection supports Block. Use the actual talent effects in the planner rather than copying a World of Warcraft talent build.
